I get a lot of questions on what my set up is for USPSA Carry Optics. I'm currently competing with Beretta 92G Elite LTT RDO - that's a Langdon Tactical Beretta with a red dot slide. I really like the 92 platform - it's not going to be for everybody - but as a middle weight gun it shoots like a much bigger and heavier gun while still being very easy to swing around and manipulate. The Beretta frame is very easy to work on as far as hammer guns are concerned so that's an added benefit. The good thing about the Langdon guns is you don't have to do anything to them out of the box. They're expensive at $1495 - but they come with everything - G10 grips with good texture, a great trigger, backup iron sights, and 3 18 round magazines (which are the ones that you want for competition). So that's the same price as a Shadow 2 OR - but the LTT trigger is better, the grips are better, and in my opinion the Beretta shoots softer - although the difference isn't big enough to exploit. The LTT is a little higher up the diminishing returns curve than many may care to go on initial cost - but you literally don't "have" to change anything. The grips are thin out of the box and I thought I wanted fatter ones - but as I got used to them I don't see a compelling need to change them beyond vanity. I really like the simplicity of buying a gun and having it be "done" out of the box - and I have two of the LTT guns now and the triggers are nearly identical - reset on one is slightly more positive than the other but pull weights are almost identical - quality of trigger pulls is identical.
I'm currently competing with the following. Be sure to check the discount codes page for potential savings on this gear.

- Best deal is to buy OEM magazines from Brownells in bulk. Due to COVID they aren't offering 10 packs right now.
- OEM Glock 17 magazines - gen 4 are fine.
- You can use PMAGs for practice - especially if you're practicing for CO - but I wouldn't use them in a match.
Magazine Extensions
- Taylor Freelance Brass +5 base plates (start in the gun to drop free) (use my code at glockstore to save!)
- Double Diamond +5's - the shape of these are more handy to reload with.

Humble, I run my pouches facing out, do you run them the way you do to match your hand position as you move back for the back 2 pouches?
Pretty Pretty Cool..!!!
